My Favorite Songs before 1995

I started making a list of my Top 100 songs of All-time and found that songs from the last 10 years dominated my list. So, I split the list into 2 groups. Songs from before 1995 and songs after 1995. This is my first list... Ty Zenker's Top 100 Songs of the Past (before 1995).

How does a Top 100 Song From the Past get on my list? It has to be a song that I can hear a million times in a row, and have great music and lyrics. Many songs were either before I was born or before I was old enough to listen to music, so I learned about them from reading Rolling Stone Magazine, borrowing family members/friends CDs, or searching the internet. Also, I tried to be open-minded about the changes in music over the last 100 years. It took me about three years to assemble my music collection and sort out my favorites from each genre, hence my list below.

Here is my list of Top 100 Songs From the Past. Many of the groups orginated from Chicago, which may be due to my roots there. These songs will not include any recent hits (once again, it is off the top of my head and done with very little thought)...
